About the Role
Éire Ed is recruiting a Makerspace & Inquiry Teacher for a highly regarded independent junior school in Vancouver known for its strong community culture, innovative teaching practices, and commitment to student development. This unique position combines learning support, inquiry-based learning, and STEM education within a collaborative and well-resourced environment.
Working across the Junior School, you will support students through both classroom-based learning and hands-on Makerspace experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and real-world thinking. The role involves designing engaging inquiry and STEM projects, incorporating areas such as robotics, coding, engineering, and design thinking, while also supporting students with diverse learning needs through differentiated teaching and targeted support programmes.
The school places strong emphasis on innovation, inclusion, and student wellbeing, creating an environment where curiosity and experimentation are actively encouraged. Teachers work closely together across departments and are supported to bring new ideas into the classroom, with access to excellent facilities, resources, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
This position would suit an educator with experience or interest in inquiry-based learning, STEM education, learning support, or gifted education. Teachers with backgrounds in primary education, student support services, or technology-integrated learning environments will thrive in this dynamic and varied role.
Beyond the classroom, staff are encouraged to contribute to the wider school community through co-curricular involvement, helping foster the strong sense of connection and engagement the school is known for.
