About the Role
We are recruiting a Geography & Social Science Teacher for a large, well-established secondary school in West Auckland, widely recognised for its strong sporting tradition and all-round student development. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing school where academic learning and co-curricular involvement go hand in hand.
You will teach Geography and Social Sciences across a range of year levels, encouraging students to think critically about the world around them and develop a deeper understanding of social, environmental, and cultural issues. The role suits an educator who can bring energy and real-world context into the classroom, making learning both engaging and relevant.
As part of a large and dynamic staff team, you will contribute to a department that values collaboration, shared planning, and continuous improvement. The school’s size and reputation provide excellent opportunities to get involved beyond the classroom, particularly in its well-regarded sports programmes and wider school life.
With a strong focus on student wellbeing, pride, and participation, the school fosters a positive and inclusive environment where both staff and students are encouraged to achieve their best. This role is ideal for a teacher looking to be part of a vibrant school community with a strong identity and excellent support structures.
